Follow Your Heart

It is easy to let the voices of others dictate what we can and cannot do. Too often if people tell us we can't do something we believe it. However, there are always people that are poor listeners and usually it is to their benefit.

Zach Anner lives with Cerebral Palsy (the sexiest of palsies as he claims) and though he is confined to a wheel chair, he does not let that stop him from following his dream. There are two things I love about Zach: 1) his quirky sense of humor. A man after my own heart. 2) his no holds barred attitude.

Zach entered a contest to become the next host of a show on the Oprah Winfrey Network (is she the only person with an entire network named after him or her?). After a long process, he won a show on the network. Here is his audition tape:

Zach has shot a few pieces that have been released on the internet. He has followed his dream to success. Here is his trip to Niagra Falls:

Likewise, we as people of faith need to push aside the barriers people set up as there is nothing that can keep us from living out the calling God has for us. A few youth ignored comments about how hard it would be to make a community garden. Now it is a reality. I encourage you now to focus on what it is you feel God calling you to do and make it a reality, regardless of how difficult or impossible others may say it is.
