This week we continue our challenges of Lent with "Help us to see your image in all people." If it was "Help us to see your image in other people" it was be much easier, but it says all people. That person that cut you off while driving? See God's image in them. That person that bullies you at school? See God in them. That elected official that you can't stand? See God in them. This list goes on and on. It is not an easy challenge, but we have to acknowledge that God made all of us in God's image. It is right there in Genesis:
So God created humankind in his image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
~Genesis 1:27 NRSV
We all were created by God. We all are made in God's image. Even though we don't like certain people, we are called to see God in them.
